“Kiah Leumah” - Sunseeker Caravans

Vision RV (part of the Sunseeker Caravans family) began supporting Shoreline early in 2021 by donating $12,710 that was raised in a charity auction at Sunseeker’s Annual Owner’s Rally.

Shoreline and Vision RV have released a special edition sunseeker caravan with an original design. Darren Dunn, 2015 NAIDOC Artist of the Year, designed the featured work labelled ‘Kiah Leumah’, meaning “From the beautiful place, here I rest”

With every van sold and delivered, Vision will be donating $1,000 to Shoreline

“Kiah Leumah” includes the following elements:

  • Central circular emblem represents the gathering of people and places, consisting of:

    • Rings of blue, representing the Queensland saltwater country and home of Sunseeker.

    • Ring of yellow, which is the passing of good energy from sun, providing energy for travellers on their journey.

    • Yellow to red, represents the campfire blessing.

    • Yellow Sundance people Daren’s tribe sitting there with him.

    • “U” shapes around the edge, representing Elders guiding the travellers, at their starting place before they head off on their journey in their caravans.

  • The white dots radiating from the central circular emblem are Octopus arms, which represent the roads or pathways around the country where the caravans will travel. The Octopus totem belongs to one of Daren’s family members in Queensland.

  • You can also see the turtle, or “Waraba” represented throughout the design. The “Waraba” is a symbol of courage, determination, strength, peace, and harmony. It is often used as a guide for travelling and, generally, in life’s journey.

  • Much of the remainder of the design represents travel through different countries, including from bush (ochre colours – which represent Daren’s mob and country) to saltwater country (blue), through the bush (green).
